Super Based are a large eclectic virtual band created in 2024 by Brendan Hadley, from Australia. The band primarily consists of twenty-four fictional members: Brendan (vocals/violin), Blaze (vocals), J-Dog (vocals), Lincoln (vocals), Ace (vocals), Arthur (vocals), Jamal (vocals), Janiqua (vocals), Monique (vocals), Christina (vocals), Amenhotep (vocals), Gorm (bass guitar), Jessie (guitar/ vocals), Hanska (drums), Rhys (keyboard), José (trumpet), Djalu (Didgeridoo), Bones (xylophone), Eric (lute), Lingling (bamboo flute), Saoirse (vocals), Tatsumaru (shamisen), Rikimaru (taiko drums), and Gimp (triangle). Their universe is presented in media such as music videos, interviews, comic strips and short cartoons.

The band members of Super Based are unwavering in their values and remain indifferent to external opinions. They steadfastly uphold their views and principles, refusing to compromise under any circumstances, especially to appease others.

Their style is known for its variety and genre-blending, with influences from many different types of music, but most notably from political rap, folk, rock, metal, dark bluegrass, electronic, hip-hop, dub-reggae, electro, pop, R&B, house music, tribal house, world music and Celtic.

Visually inspired by the iconic band Gorillaz, Super Based, unlike other fictional bands, were not created as a parody of a particular genre (GWAR, Dethklok), marketed to young children (Alvin and The Chipmunks), or created for television (The Archies, Josie and The Pussycats, Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem).

Instead, Super Based were created to be explored through the internet and are intended for an older audience than most of the cartoon bands before them, while their unique rhythms and messages of their actual musical output is usually more of an attraction to their fans than their existence as cartoon characters. The bands that influence their music range from Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Good Charlotte, System of a Down, Slipknot, Disturbed, Queen, Destiny’s Child, and Daft Punk, to solo Rappers like Tupac Shakur and Tom MacDonald, as well as The Walking Dead soundtracks, and many classic horror and cyberpunk movies.  South Park is also a big influence on Super Based for the way that they invade popular culture and comment on it in a pretty organic way.
